Start the Secular New Year with Beth El

Dear Congregants and Friends,

Start 2011 off at Congregation Beth El.  We will be having our regular Friday night and Saturday morning services this weekend, December 31st and Januart 1st.   Tonight’s services are at 7:00 pm and tomorrow morning’s services start at 9:00 am with the Torah reading around 9:50 am.

Cantor Ben-Moshe’s Message – In this week’s parashah, Va’era, God makes four promises to the People of Israel-“I will free you”, “and deliver you”, “I will redeem you”, “and I will take you”.  These four promises are the basis for the four cups that we drink at the Passover Seder.  Even now, in winter, we look forward to spring and the festival of our liberation from Egypt.

We look forward to seeing you at services this Shabbat, and wish a Happy (secular) New Year to the entire Beth El family.

Shabbat Shalom,
Congregation Beth El
