Warm welcomes and hot chocolate

Baby, it’s cold outside! photo 1

Religious School started last Sunday, on one of the coldest days this year!

Our kids came bundled up and ready to learn! The hot cocoa we served also made the morning extra sweet and warm.

We welcomed new students: Kira, Mirele, Ariana, Ilan and Ziv!
We are thrilled you have joined our school!

Here are a few highlights from last Sunday:

Morah Iris Daniel started as our new teacher. We have grown so that we need a 4th class!

She will have the oldest kids from Morah Lital’s Kitah Bet class. Her class will be a Hebrew Immersion class. More details to come soon. This week, she and Iris Koeller taught Morah Lital’s large group. Lital will be returning from Israel next Sunday. This group learned all about Havdallah. They played a smelling game, identifying various herbs, sweets and chocolate. Then made Havdallah bags. They will continue this study by learning the prayers in coming weeks.

Morah Anat and her children brought their new dog. They rescued this cutie. The kids were thrilled.

Cantor Ben-Moshe and I will be teaching our new Kitah Dalet class. These are our pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah kids. Last Sunday we started a new book, toured the sanctuary, and got hands-on and up close experience with the Torah, and more.

JOIN US FOR SERVICES:

We hope to see all our BERS families tomorrow for Shabbat services and our Kiddush lunch. We will be honoring our sweet Morah Bev.

Shabbat Shalom,

Shereen Ben-Moshe   Ms Carol 2017
